Whitefeather Studio

Whitefeather Studio was created in 1990 as an umbrella under which my two passions, sharing the beauty that I see and capture with paint, and sharing my healing knowledge can comfortably reside and blend.

The beauty of my paintings contribute soothingly to a sense of well-being, and my contribution to peoples' healing brings an awareness of the intrinsic beauty of life.

People often ask about the name Whitefeather. Yes, I am of Native American descent; Oglala Lakota (Sioux) of the Plains Region. Whitefeather is the name given to me by my grandmother & spiritual mother, a beautiful woman of Abenaki descent. The teachings of these two nations have influenced my life greatly.


How we function...

Whitefeather Studio is a one-person show, greatly assisted from time to time by an assortment of teenagers and many loving friends who have assembled frames, lugged the heavy stuff, gathered gallery information and endured endless hours of practice as I honed my Touch for Health skills.

Back to Oils...

Recently, I have returned to the oils I was originally trained in, which I'd abandoned during child rearing years because of their toxicity. I have never been satisfied with my own attempts at landscape painting in watercolor but oils allow me to celebrate the incredible area I live in. I'm loving both the process and the results.
